What every model really is
Line 6 rename everything. “Brit 2203” is a Marshall JCM-800. Here is the whole translation, searchable — from Line 6's own list.
Line 6 cannot use another manufacturer’s trademark to sell a model of their amp, so every model gets a new name. The effect is that scrolling the model list on a new device tells you almost nothing about what you are hearing.
The translation is not a secret — Line 6 publish it themselves, as a “Based On” column in the back of the manual. What has not existed until now is a version you can search. All 440 models are below: 111 amps, 58 cabs and 271 effects.
This list is extracted from the Helix 3.80 Owner’s Manual, which is the shared HX library. The Stadium runs all of it and adds its own Agoura amp models on top — those are not in the table below, because Line 6 have not published a “Based On” column for them. Treat this as the shared library, not as a complete list of what is on your device.
Nrm, Brt and Jump are channels, not amps
Brit Plexi Nrm and Brit Plexi Brt are the normal and bright inputs of the same Marshall Super Lead. “Jump” is what you get when you patch the two together with a short cable, which is how people actually played them.
Legacy means older, not worse
Legacy models come from older Line 6 units and are kept so old presets still work. Where two models look like the same effect, the non-Legacy one is the newer algorithm — and Legacy cabs in particular cost far more processing power.
