Controls and footswitches

Every control on the Helix Stadium Floor, on a diagram you can click. Pick anything to see what it does — including the gestures nothing on the chassis tells you about.

Touchscreen

The main interface. Blocks are objects you touch, not items you navigate to — which is the biggest single difference from every Helix before it.

Tap a block: Selects it. Its parameters appear in the Inspector strip below.
Tap the selected block again: Opens its actions — copy, paste, clear, add to Favorites, and the rest.
Drag a block: Moves it along the path.
Flick a block off the screen: Clears it. There is no delete menu to find.
Tap an empty part of the signal flow: Adds a block there.
Drag the Split down: Creates a duplicate Input block, so path B can have its own input.

Worth knowingInput blocks glow green when signal is present and bright red when they clip. So do output blocks, and FX Loop blocks turn red when the Return clips. That colour is your entire metering — nothing else tells you.

Some of these are printed on the box. The rest are in the manual, or nowhere, and they are the difference between owning this device and being able to use it.

Hold FS1 + FS7

Cycles what the left column does — bank, preset, snapshot, song or marker up and down.

This is how songs and markers get onto your feet. Worth learning before your first gig with tracks.
