What you actually bought
What this box is for, what it is not, and the one sentence that explains most of the confusion around it.

It is a whole guitar rig in one box — amps, speakers, microphones and effects, all modelled. Whether it sounds right depends almost entirely on what you plug it into.
The short version
Line 6's flagship floor modeller and the first of a new generation: a touchscreen, eight parameter knobs, twelve footswitches, and a built-in playback and automation engine called Showcase. It runs the whole HX model library plus a new set of Agoura amp models, and since firmware 1.3 it can clone your own amps.
Is this the right guide?
If your unit has a joystick and a monochrome screen, you have an original Helix — read the Helix Floor guide instead. The Stadium XL is the same brain with more footswitches and a second expression pedal.
The thing everyone gets wrong first
On a Helix Stadium Floor, the question we see most is turning the Volume knob and hearing nothing change.
The knob drives one output at a time. Press the button above it for the output you are actually listening to.
