Why did my Helix stop switching pedals on and off?
It is in Preset mode. Press FS6 — the switch marked PRESET / STOMP — and the middle switches go back to working as stompboxes.

Why does my Helix screen keep jumping to a different block?
You are touching a footswitch without pressing it. They are capacitive, and a resting foot selects that switch's block on screen. Nothing is wrong and nothing has changed in your sound.
Why does my reverb cut off when I change preset?
Because changing preset unloads everything and loads it again. Turn on Preset Spillover — hold ACTION and press HOME — and trails carry across. The price is Path 2: you lose half your processing power.
Why won't my Helix let me add another amp?
Four is the maximum, and no more than two on either path. The DSP meter is not what stopped you — it is a hard cap.
What amp is Brit 2203 on the Helix?

How do I turn the cab sim off on a Helix?
Bypass the Cab block, or use an Amp block instead of Amp+Cab. Do it whenever you are playing into a real guitar speaker — and leave it on for headphones, FRFR and the desk.
What is the difference between a preset and a snapshot?
A preset is the whole rig. A snapshot is a saved position of the controls inside it, and there are eight per preset. Snapshots switch instantly with no gap, presets do not.
Why is my Helix quiet or thin through the PA?
You probably used the RIGHT output on its own. On both output pairs the LEFT/MONO jack is the one that carries a mono sum. Use that one.
How do I get rid of hum on my Helix?
Press the GND/LIFT switch on the rear panel, beside the XLR outputs. It is a physical button, not a menu setting.
Does the Helix Floor use USB-C?
No. It is USB Type B, the square printer connector. Only the Helix Stadium uses USB-C.
How do I make one expression pedal do two things?
Press hard on the toe end. That is a hidden switch, and it swaps the pedal between EXP 1 and EXP 2. Nothing on the chassis tells you it is there.
Can I use a Helix to switch my amp's channels?
Yes. Run a TRS cable from EXT AMP 1/2 to your amp's footswitch jack — tip does one function, ring does the other — and have presets switch the channel for you.
Why is my preset out of DSP when the blocks look empty?
Stereo blocks cost about twice what mono ones do, and Legacy cabs cost far more than the newer IR-based ones. Swapping a Legacy cab for its current equivalent usually buys back a whole block.
What does the E next to my preset name mean?
Edited but not saved. Change preset while that is showing and your changes are gone. Press SAVE twice.
